DESCRIPTION
Goal Pooka’s Garden was created as a riverside sanctuary for festival-goers at HowTheLightGetsIn in Hay-on-Wye. Inspired by Welsh folklore and the mischievous Pwcas, the aim was to blend myth, nature, and storytelling into a unique retreat celebrating the area’s scenic beauty. Role I developed the concept, name, and visual identity, creating signage, bar interiors, and menus to evoke a mystical yet calming atmosphere. For the past three years, I have also worked on the bar, serving the cocktails I helped develop. Outcome Now in its fourth+ year, Pooka’s Garden has become a festival favourite, evolving and growing into a go-to hangout spot where attendees relax and connect with the riverside setting.
